Marines Receive Gunfire from Hospital
Marines from 1stBattalion, 25thMarine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5 received small-arms fire from the Al Janabi Health Clinic in eastern Fallujah while conducting a vehicle patrol Monday night.
Following the engagement, the Marines entered the hospital and an adjacent building to ensure the insurgents had fled and were no longer posing a threat to Coalition Forces, Fallujan citizens, and the patients within the clinic. Upon the conclusion of the search, the Marines quickly departed the premises so as not to interrupt the healthcare services provided by the hospital.
