The story above does not show his military service but on searching several web pages, I found that he served both in the Atlantic and Pacific theatre's
During World War II as a Marine Officer, later he would join the Naval Reserve.
He also did goodwill tours during Korea and Vietnam.

Born in Canada but a naturalize citizen of thr United States
Besides being a Marine Office, he was also a Naval Reserve Officer.
He has pass on to guard Heaven's Gates
May God grant him Eternal Peace
We pray

Wasn't he an Admiral in the Navy, I read somewhere that he helped make the movie "Midway" and was regarded as a
Naval military history expert. If I'm wrong sorry just what I heard

I think he was Captain in the Naval Reserve after his service in the Marine Corps.
As a Naval Officer he went to Korea and Vietnam on goodwill tours.
Some even place him in the Green Berets in Vietnam and the French Foreign Legion during World War II.
I believe that he only served as Marine Officer in World War II and than in the Naval Reserve...
