Went to Cax a while back and there were some Marines who had a certain type of desert water bag. It almost looked like a sandbag , but the Marine would put water in it tie it up , and strap it on to a humvee. They would drive around all day and when later on during the day or at night they would have nice cool water. I dont remember what this was called but does anyone have any ideas or where I could buy one. Awesome piece of gear.

.
I'm showing my age here, but when growing up in the Texas Hill Country, we would travel to South Texas. Wasn't that far, but it took a bit of driving time back then.
Anyway, my Dad had a canvas type bag, that when filled with water, he would tie on to the bumper and off we'd go.
The water was ALWAYS cool when we wanted a drink.
Methinks it is of the same principle and prolly cost about a 100 times less.

I used it in stumps and took it to Beirut...bought it a Saigon Sam's surplus here in NC.Advertised as a desert bag. It worked. Cool water the process of evaporation. S/F Chuck Hall
