Three Navy and four Marine officers have been selected as members of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, also known as the Blue Angels.

Lt. Cmdr. Mark Lambert has been chosen as flight surgeon, Lt. Daniel McShane as events coordinator and Lt. j.g. Chris Vallier as supply officer.

Marines Maj. Nathan Miller and Capt. Clint Harris have been chosen as F/A-18 Hornet demonstration pilots, Marine Capt. Tyson Dunkelberger as public affairs officer and Marine Capt. Drew Hess as a C-130 pilot.

Mass Communications Specialist 1st Class Jeff Ballge said each of the group’s 16-officer complement normally serves two-year tours.

Enlisted members typically serve three year with the group, he said.

Each officer selectee will be a part of the 2007 team except Dunkelberger, who will join the 2008 team, Ballge said.
