VIETNAM VETERANS TO RALLY IN WASHINGTON, D.C. TO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS AND THE WAR ON TERROR SATURDAY, JANUARY 18, 2003

What: Patriots Rally for America III
When: 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2003
Where: Constitution Gardens on the Mall, 21st Street & Constitution Ave., NW
Organizers: The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic and MOVEOUT! (Marines and Other . Veterans Engaging Un-American Traitors!)

(WASHINGTON) Vietnam veterans and patriotic Americans from across the country will be rallying in our nation's capital to show support for their brothers and sisters in arms as they fight the war on terror and prepare to defend us from outlaw regimes like Iraq and North Korea.

The members of MOVEOUT! and most Americans are insulted by the leftist Sixties retreads and wannabes who are raising the specter of Vietnam in conjunction with the current "anti-war" demonstrations as if they are the sole voices from that era.

“These veterans are proud of their saving South Vietnam from communist occupation during the longest war in our history, a war that saw not one major battle lost, a war in which the enemy’s losses compared to ours were the most lopsided in history, a war that was lost by everyone BUT our troops AFTER they had gone,” stated Joel Kernodle, spokesman for MOVEOUT!

Mr. Kernodle, a retired CEO from Indianapolis, Indiana, served in Vietnam during 1967 as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps. Among the decorations he earned is the Purple Heart.

Mr. Kernodle can be contacted at (317) 899-8333.

Following the rally, participants will gather along the march route of the "anti-war" group, IAC-ANSWER, at the Marine Barracks, 8th and I Street, SE, starting at 11 a.m. to peacefully exercise their right to observe a public parade and offer their opinion of it.
