I just finished reading that book
I read about Task Force Ripper in a book my wife got me. I had always heard about Task Force Grizzly from the first Gulf War. This book was hilarious and written to commemorate the guys he served with. The troops at Ripper were pretty rowdy during the war. It was called 'Braving the Fear' and then something about Rowdy Marines...the true story of rowdy marines in the Gulf War...that is it. I don't remember who the author was, (I got it from the library). He was one of the Marines from Ripper.
That is so cool to get on here and find people looking for Ripper Marines. By the way, "Ripper" was a cool name for the main force going into the enemy.

Sorry for the inconvenience Marines. I meant to delete a single duplicate post, not the whole thread. My apologies.
