Several years before she was killed, Jessica Hine told
people what she wanted most was to have a baby.
Becoming a mother was a way to heal the pain Hine suffered because of the
broken connection between her and her biological family, said Janie Johnson,
one of many foster mothers Hine called ``mom.''
For 11 weeks, Hine, 19, had her baby, Devonte Coleman, before they were
killed. On Friday, mother and son were buried together at the Sunnyside
Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
Police say the killer was Hine's boyfriend, James Coleman, a Marine sergeant
based at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa.
