Profiling Is Not a Dirty Word, It Is an Effective Tool

The time has come to relegate political correctness to the ash heap of bad, poorly conceived, Liberal ideas along side socialism, communism and outcome based education. Political correctness requires the denial of reality. Some folks and some groups behave in certain ways, have certain distinct ideologies, and are inclined to certain activities, which are contrary to our societal norms and laws. It's as simple as that.

The police and international security firms have a very effective tool for analyzing behavior based on those distinct characteristics, it's called profiling, and it's about bloody time we began using it to protect ourselves. Profiling, whether racial or behavioral is a legitimate, powerful, tool in combating crime, and it is just as useful in combating terrorists.

Not all Muslims are terrorists, but in today's war on terror, pretty much all terrorists are Muslims. So let's focus our efforts on the Muslim community. It is the height of insanity for the TSA to be stopping and searching blonde 12 year old girls or 80 year old women in wheel chairs for weapons of terror, and allowing swarthy, black-haired bearded 25 year old males to pass unmarked.

The spokesmen of CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations) and the Liberal idiots at ACLU would have us believe that it's not "fair" for our security personnel to single out a person because of his or her appearance. Well Boo-Effing-Hoo! It's not fair that 3000 American citizens were murdered by a bunch of 20-30 something swarthy Middle-Eastern type men either.

It is stupid to allow ourselves to be cowed by the cries of racism, or fascism from those who would deny reality and expose us to danger unnecessarily. I don't care if it's "not fair." Life is not and never has been "fair." Why are we only to be concerned about fairness when it is deemed appropriate by those on the Left?

"Fairness" is a Chimera, a mythological beast, dangerous and foolish to pursue. "Fairness" is a myth of the Left. The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence proclaim equality. That means we are all accorded the same opportunities by our nation, it does not promise "fairness."

It is "fairness" that provides an argument for socialism and communism. To those on the Left, merit is irrelevant, talent is unimportant, it is "fairness" that is important. Unless of course that talent or merit benefits a person who is on the Liberals approved list of special groups, then "fairness" need not apply.

So we see that "fairness" applies in the office workspace, but not on the basketball court. We see that "fairness" applies to voting, unless it comes to gerrymandering a district so that it will unavoidably result in a minority representative. We can't demand that voters have photo-identification because it's "not fair" to minorities (are we supposed to believe that cheating and illegal voting is alright as long as you are a minority?).

"Fairness" dictates that it's not right for a corporate executive to be paid $50 million for his talent in the business world, but it is perfectly acceptable for an athlete (minority or majority) to be paid $50 million for his talent on the ball field.

Thus we are confronted by the inequities inherent in the Democrat party, Liberals in general, and in our Paleo-media. "Fairness" only applies when they say it does. Hmm…I guess that seems…"fair," doesn't it?

If a crime is committed by a white, blonde haired thug, I would hope that the police wouldn't expend a lot of time stopping vehicles carrying blacks or Hispanics. By the same token, if a crime was committed by a young black man, I would hope that the police wouldn't spend a lot of time on stopping young white men. It only makes sense. It may not be fair to the drivers they stop, who didn't commit the crime, but I really don't care how they feel about being stopped, I want the criminal caught.

And that is precisely what profiling is all about. It is an extremely useful tool in the prevention and solving of crime. That's all it is. It isn't about racism. It isn't about "fairness." It is about solving and preventing crime in a timely manner.

So why are we wasting our time pulling blonde blue-eyed 50 year-olds out of the airport security queues when this latest attempt was perpetrated by a bunch of Britons of Pakistani heritage. It sure as hell wasn't the Norwegian men's ski team that was responsible. Norman Y. Mineta's idiot obsession with political correctness has inconvenienced thousands of American travelers without increasing their security one iota. Here I blame Bush and it's about time Mineta stepped down.

We need a Secretary of Transportation and a White House that understands who the enemy is that we are fighting. We need a President that comprehends the fact that open borders contribute to our security risks. We need a Congress that will impose the strictest of limits on immigration and impose draconian penalties for violating our immigration laws. In short we need a government that understands the full extent of the threat our enemies represent and that is willing to take the heat from the Liberals in the Democrat Party and the Paleo-media in order to ensure our safety.

President Bush and Congress are failing the American people miserably on the border security issue and as long as racial profiling is banned by the TSA, as long as the FBI is prevented from using profiling to protect American citizens, both the President and Congress are failing the American people on airline safety.

Time to "WAKE UP AMERICA!"
