Marines Under Fire for Firing at Crowd

AUGUST 9, 2006 - Two Marines were arrested in Wilmington last week for shooting at a crowd of people with pellet guns.
Police officers say Kyle Stone, 19, and Timothy Riley, 19, shot at a crowd of people with pellet guns inside the Tiki Bar at the Firebelly Lounge in Downtown Wilmington late Thursday night.
The manager, Ben Thomas, says he was hit in the stomach with one of the pellets and another man was hit as well. Thomas says he has no idea why the two Marines were shooting.
Both Marines were released into the custody of the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune.
