Either the chat was dead yesterday or it doesn't last that long because I got home late from work so I didn't get on til 745 and only 2 people were actually talking. I was mad because I was excited to finally get to make it to the chat and then a customer just wouldn't finish up in our store (Brooks) and theres some new policy where you can't tell people directly that we're closing, you only can over the intercom. What it's gonna take to get it going is to have participants! Like you said in your post, "NO ONE SHOWED UP"!

Sgt, I asked you to host the chat, but I also said that I would get back with you on the details. I intended to use you next Sunday, and still will if this thing works for next week. Sorry for the confusion Sgt.

At the present DGardner is the usual Host of the Chat, but he has been busy with school and what not on Sunday nights. Now If you Poolees will commit to attending the chat I think I can get it back on track! But It was becomming apparant that not enough of you wanted to attend, or you just came in when ever you felt like it and stayed as long as you wanted to. The Chat is from 2100-2300 EST! Not 2000, not 1900......but 2100!

For any of you that don't know how this works, simply click on the "CHAT" button at the top of the screen, then click on the Poolee Hall room and you're there.

This chat was set up to give you, the poolee, information you WILL need in boot camp! It is not a text area nor a regular chat area to shoot the breeze! It is a TOOL for you poolees to use for your own good. No one get paid anything for thier time and they get nothing in return, except that MAYBE YOU will learn something from it!

GOD (well jinelson) gave this Tool to you poolees, and it can be taken away! It's up to you poolees! We will start the chat with only two poolees, if that's all that are present at 2100 EST, you are welcome to join us anytime after that, but it will end at 2300 EST, per site rules because of school. These times ar in EST, not CST, nor PST or any other time....EST, remember that and adjust your self to that time for this chat!

For those of you that wanted to attend, I am truly sorry. For those of you that abused it, shame on you! I suggest that while in the chat that you maitain a classroom setting, just as if you were in a class at school!

Read the rules for the chat in this thread, and behave yourself and learn all you can.

Marines will come in on occasion, to help out or just to see what you are doing, they may even ask a question. If they do, answer them before you do the host, if the host is a poolee/wannabe!

My learned Marine, you are not helping the situation here. The site made the rules for a reason long before you or I became a member. The rules are simple:

Have you even read them Corporal? You as a propsective Officer should know that you can't second guess the rules. Try second guessing the CMC rules and see how far your carreer goes! The people that own and operate this site made these rules to help the prospective recruits become better marines, to teach them how to interact properly. If not here, where? If not us teaching them, who? You? Would you appreciate getting written messages from someone in text versions, especially if you don't understand texting?

We have been here for years and have had many, many squad leaders and guides, in boot camp promoted to PFC and L/Cpl, because of our mentoring and training we give these poolees of ours. We are proud of our Marines, and I don't think any of them would agree with you.

YOU mentioned leadership by example, how about support your Marines, NCOs and SNCOs. If they need correcting it is done by PM, where it can be discussed privately. Never in front of the men!

If I am out of line Corporal, PM me and we can discuss it. Otherwise, how does it feel to be put in your place in public? One Corporal to another that is!

As the duly appointed NCOIC of the Sunday Chat, I want to thank all the Marines that were in there tonight as well as the three wannabes! If I hadn't been there myself and saw it with my own eyes, I would not have believed that not one Poolee showed up, even the host didn't stay!

For the next few day I am gonna review this chat room thing and try to determine if YOU want to keep it going. It is up to you, as poolees. If you want to make any comments, please PM me and I will be happy to read your thoughts on this matter. Any Comments will be appreciated.

Well, to tell the truth I didn't get one PM from anyone. I did get replies on this thread, however, so I have made a decision based on that.

Yellowwing made the best argument in that there are a lot of poolees that are starting back in school and they are shipping off to boot camp, right now.

So I have decided that the sunday chat will continue every Sunday. When the time comes to start. if there are as many as 2 poolees/wannabees present then the chat will begin in Poolee hall as usual, The host will camp out in that room waiting for the show to begin. All Marines are welcome to attend and help out, or just to monitor the chat, They are always welcome!

Let me stress the fact that it is not required for poolees to attend, but it is a learning tool that WILL help you in boot camp! It is your decision if you want that help or not! We can make it available to you, but you have to decide if you want to learn anything, or share what you know, or not!
