My DD214 shows a RE Code of 3, nothing else. My seperation code was JHJ, How hard would it be for me to get into the Marines?

I got the popcorn on this thread guys........................

Is it safe for me to assume you came out of the Navy? What is a JHJ code? Why do you want to be a Marine NOW? Why did you just not make a lat move while you were in? What did you do to get a 3?

Actually I was in the army. I should have gone into the Marine Corps the first time. JHJ is unsatisfactory performance. I failed two PT tests in a row, I was less than 30 seconds from passing the run the first time and 20 seconds the last time. This is how I got the JHJ and the 3 my DD214 does not have anythingelse but a 3. I will double check the code when I get home just to make sure.

I know you're my home boy and all, but how are you going to pass the Marine PFT if you can't pass the Army PT Test?

If you got an RE 3 you're gonna have a tough time doing anything in the military. You better check that code.

being as how the other marines on this thread are to polite to say it,then I will as I am not that polite.
what the hell makes you think the Marines would even want you. you say i worked my butt off and pt is no sweat now. why didn't you work your butt off and succeed in the army? My question to you is--could you be trusted to give the extra effort required to be a Marine? would you be there when needed? this is why the Marines are "The Few" because everyone isn't wanted or allowed to join our ranks:thumbdown
