Is the only way to EARN a promotion in Boot Camp by being the Guide? Or is there other ways to EARN it? Thanks

I had PFC coming out of bootcamp because I had 4 years of ROTC going through high school.

They give out meterious promotions to top 10% of the platoon not just the guide i think its like three promotions. If the guide was a guaranteed PFC coming into bootcamp then that recruit will get meterious mass promotion to LCPL. Talk to your recruiter about being a guaranteed PFC before you leave to bootcamp. There a bunch of ways to come out of boot camp a PFC if you have college credits, refer some people, ROTC, etc.. Best of LUCK
