Now this is a switch from the norm… or maybe not. Bill Clinton is once again teaming up with Al Gore, which may come as a surprise but not a shock to Gore.

The illustrious former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, follows the lights like a moth trailing a mobile flood lamp, so it's no surprise that he's hot on the heels of the shine that's currently on Al Gore.

Normally Bill doesn't have to go far, since the lights are often on him or the chicks under his desk, but this time it's different. Clinton, speaking at a Florida Democrat fundraiser, essentially told the crowd that Republicans and other naysayers of his highly honed meteorological and climatological instincts are the reason there are more hurricanes nowadays:

"It is now generally recognized that while Al Gore and I were ridiculed, we were right about global warming… It's a serious problem. It's going to lead to more hurricanes."

Forget about Clinton saying that global warming is causing more hurricanes, the only form of unacceptable blowing in the Clinton vernacular. That's old news. What's fun is how Bill is attaching himself to Gore's cause now that the former veep has hit semi-hot box office. Clinton was always great at taking somebody else's idea and making it his own, but now he's back on the global warming bandwagon, and it's "Al Gore and I" just like old times.

"Global warming" is still Al Gore's baby, but, thanks to the success of Gore's movie, Clinton is busy buying that baby onesies and lollypops and checking out the minute details of adoption law.

Al Gore's movie on global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth," was #11 at the box office over the weekend. All those cars going to the theater to see the film spewed enough bilge into the air to cause what is at this time a tropical storm that is headed for Florida. Do you really think it's an accident that the storm is named "Alberto"?
