My uncle, MSgt. John E. Fowler, joined those Marines gone before him on May 13, 2006. He was a 'Com Chief' at Lejeune for the latter part of his service. I know he served in Korea and Vietnam and was also stationed in France. Retired in 1970.
He was a very proud, brave and honorable Marine and I wish I had known him better. I would love to hear from any Marine who knew him. He attended my graduation from PI in December 1969 and escorted me to my first duty station. Supply School at Lejeune.
