My original ship-out date was set for September 18th, 2006. At the recruiting office, another recruiter (GySgt DuBose) signaled me over to his desk and informed me of a switch in the date. My new ship out date is July 10th, 2006. Exactly 30 days from now. I'm nervous/excited to say the least. My MOS 0300. I plan on using the last 30 days of my civilian life to train hard (carefully of course) and eat right. Thanks for reading!

Good luck, stay focused!! Run , pullups , push up, dips & sit ups. Do the things you enjoy the most because it seems to be forever b4 you get back!

My recruiter called me yesterday and informed me that my ship out date was set back to its original. (September 18th, 2006). Does this happen often? What could be the reason for this? It's a bit difficult since I quit my job. I told them I was leaving soon so I put my 2 weeks in when I received news of the change to July 10th.. to allow time to physically and mentally prepare myself for bootcamp. Should I try and find a temporary job to hold me off? Or talk to my recruiter about an earlier date? Thanks

talk to your employer if you haven't done your last day yet - maybe they won't have a problem with your staying another month or so
