View Full Version : Infantry to Recon
I chose Infantry as my MOS. I was wondering if after a couple years in 03XX and Im in top physical shape that I could go Recon. Would I be better off staying Infantry? Is the switch going to be worth it? Id greatly appreciate any advice you have to give me.

Graduate bootcamp first. Then worry about going Recon.
You should not even be thinking about that until after atleast a year in the fleet.

Better answer is take the Screening when you get to SOI. Plan now take no less than 1st class in everything you do.
As recon you are expected to be in the top percentile of the Marine Corps knoledge and physical disciplines. Soak up all of the knowledge in bootcamp.
