When you sign up and get to choose your MOS are you gaurenteed to get that postion or could you be placed into another field. All help will be appreciated.

Your givin a "Field", and you have to Finish Bootcamp.

For instance...............Ordnance is the 6500 field - that field is broken down into different "jobs" that each have their own thing that they do with Ordnance - 6521s build em', 6531s usually load 'em and 6541s usually fix the racks that you attach 'em to (sorry if I got the 21s and 31s mixed - been a long time ago) but, you get my drift. There's even a "job" that does nothing but learn how to disarm 'em. There are soooooo many opprotunities within a certain field but it all depends on what the Corps needs.
