I eased into a gas station this morning and the price was $2.87 per gallon. I commented to the station attendant, "I want to burn it, not drink it!" The fellow has gotten a steady diet of negativity with every price increase, so no job satisfaction is in sight for him this summer as prices continue to rise. He shook his head and replied glumly, "You can bet none of it is going into my pocket." You can bet I'll keep those comments to myself in the summer ahead.
