Ok, I know this is a long shot but I thought that I would give it a try. I am and have been looking for many years, to find someone who may have served with my father in the Korean War. I would also like to know if anyone has any ideas about how I could get my ahold of my fathers record of service since he died when I was 6 years old. I only know a few things about him and desire to know the whole story.

Try this location, it has the records of all those who have served.
There was a fire and some were lost but you dads military records might still be there.
Do you have any idea of the unit/units that he served in or the type.
That might aid us, as I know a few veterans of Korea...

Miss Kitty, there are a few things to know, first do you have ,or can find his social number? 2nd, the approximate dates of service, the branch,3rd, you can go to this web site and copy the forms to nprc, which will give a address.
Here is the web address:www. NARA.gov
That should get you started.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by your post. I'm sorry for your loss of what I'm sure to have been a fantastic Marine. Semper Fi ma'am and please always keep your undying faith.
