MMMMMMM HMMMMMMH Now that I got you chow hounds attention lets talk MPC. Does anyone even remember Military Payment Certificates? I would love to hear your recollections and at the same time maybe pass on some knowlege to the Marines that followed us. Dont worry about the chow tab I got it covered at least in 1968 bucks lol.

Hey, Jim.
Where's the hot sauce?
That photo of yours looks like what was served at Carmen's located (many moons ago) along the San Francisco Embarcadero, right by the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge at the end of Harrison Street, by the Hills Brothers Coffee plant; nothing but longshoremen and friends ate there. Now if there is a jukebox in the background that just plays 1940-50 songs and there is a cargo hook hanging on the greasy wall with a sign under it saying, "If you talk too loud you get this", and a waitress just called you a young man no matter how old you are..then you my friend are smack dab in the middle of Carmen's. If you aren't at Carmen's then all I can say is that you cook just like those Filipino women did. By the way, that looks like one of Carmen's forks. LOL. Bon a petit, young man.
Do you recall a household goods storage and crate making area along with, I believe, a photo lab of sorts, run by the Marines on 100 Harrison Street? Late 60's-mid 70's?
