Ok i've been looking around this site for a while and im highly considering the Marines. When i went to google to look up some requirements i came across this site but when it say the minimum requirements are 3 pullups, 50 situps, and a 3 mile run it doesnt corrispond with the scoring chart and the passing score. You would have to do 80 situps to get a passing score of 135. This website has me confused. Can someone please clear this up. Thank you.

I think what you found was the semi-annual PFT (Physical Fitness Test).

The minimum requirements to pass the IST is: 2 pull-ups, 35 crunches in 2 minutes, and a 1.5 mile run in 13:30 or less....... here is a link........
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/marinejoin/l/blist.htm

here is another helpful link, just about anything you need to know is here.....
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/marinejoin/index_a.htm

Hope that helps. If you have any more questions, ask away.

It looks like you recognized that THE MINIMUM in each catergory will not give you a passing score.

 "THAT'S BECAUSE WE DONT ACCEPT THE MINIMUM YOU NUMB NUTS"

You'll have to do better to make it.

Ok i was looking at the minimum so that i can improve myself to be above the what the minimum. Just because i look at the minimum doesnt mean that I will go into the Marines doing the minimum. It helps the know the minimum.

in order to be above minimum, you always have to push yourself to your limits and then push yourself above and beyond because "if you never push the limits you'll never succeed" and if you fail at something try again and again until you succeed and then keep going, the main thing is to stay MOTO. good luck.

If you fill a glass up past 100%, then you'll get a mess on the floor.... good indication of knowing if you're putting out 110% :)
