I dont know if this is true or not but i heard that if you dont make E4 by the time your four year enlistment is up you can not reenlist. I dont really think making it should be a problem to make. If anyone knows if this is true or not I would appreciate it. Thanks

No, that is not true.

Miguelito is correct - the first restriction that you run into is that I believe you have to be a SSgt by the end of your 13th year - but that is also waiverable. I'm not sure if there are further restrictions beyond that, but I think that you have to be a GySgt by a certain point in time as well - for some reason 17 years comes to mind but that may be wrong.

You have to make Sgt in 8 then SSgt in 12 or 13... No requirement to make Cpl by 4

As long as you stay out of trouble and do well on the range and PFT's you should have no problem making Cpl in 4 years.

Unless you're a complete douche bag. Which I've seen quite often in the past. Usually they'll hold the dumb dumbs off on promotion for as long as possible, I saw one Cpl. get promoted to Sgt 2 days before they got him to reenlist for another 4 years. Politics.
