From experience I can say that Motomail is an amazing morale booster. Granted, nothing will ever beat getting that letter from your girl back home that smells like perfume, and has lipstick kisses all over it. But just to get an update on how everything is going back home on almost a daily basis is HUGE for the combat Marine.

To me, it was just the security of knowing that everything is alright - everyone is healthy, alive, and that they cant wait for me to get home. I think it also helps the families too.

Knowing that Mom can reach out to her son on a daily basis, and let him know she misses him. Or Dad can write some words of encouragement for his son, and he'll get it much faster then if he were to write it out and send it in an envelope.

Best of all, as it says above, its free and just as easy as writing an e-mail.
