Cops: Teen Marine Strangled Man
Man Is Being Held Without Bail

SAN DIEGO -- A teenage Camp Pendleton Marine is behind bars, accused of strangling a man to death.
According to police, James Hardy, 19, killed Raymund Catolico inside his Little Italy apartment last week.
Family members said that the 39-year-old victim was found stuffed under a bathroom sink.
Last week, police released images captured by a surveillance camera of a person caught on tape using Catolico's credit card. Officials now say that the person caught on tape is Hardy.
Authorities said they did not positively identify the person as Hardy until discovering a phone number of one of his family members inside Catolico's apartment.
"They agreed to take a look at the picture we identified as a person of interest," said San Diego police Lt. Mike Hurley. "They said that is James Hardy."
Police notified the Marines, and military police took Hardy into custody at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. Hardy, who is being held without bail, is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
