Death of Mrs. Robert H. Barrow

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Mrs. Patty Barrow, wife of General Robert H. Barrow, passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon.

General and Mrs. Barrow's children are arriving at their Louisiana home today. Final funeral arrangements are being made by the Barrow family and will be announced forthwith in a subsequent email.

To the General and the Barrow family. My condolences to all of you. General Barrow was the Commanding General when I was a recruit at Parris Island South Carolina.

Patricia Ann Barrow
Barrow, Patricia Ann Patricia Ann Barrow, 83, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at her home in St. Francisville. She is survived by her husband, retired U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Robert H. Barrow; three daughters, Cathleen Harmon of Killeen, Texas, Barbara Kanegaye of Houston, and Mary Hannigan of Oakton, Va.; and two sons, Charles Pulliam of Greenville, S.C., and Robert H. Barrow of Tampa, Fla. She is also survived by four granddaughters, seven grandsons and four great-grandchildren. She was born in Ann Arbor, Mich., and attended UCLA. An accomplished gourmet cook and occasional watercolor artist, she devoted her energy, love and talent to family, friends and support of her husband's 41-year Marine Corps career. The funeral will be at Grace Church of West Feliciana Parish, St. Francisville, at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. Friends will be received at Grace Church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Denham and Scott Turner, Richard and Robert Bassett, and Collin and Mark Hannigan. The crucifer will be her grandson Pierce Hannigan. Interment will be in Grace Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary.
