Marine instructor dies from injuries

ASSOCIATED PRESSA Camp Lejeune Marine sergeant teaching troops how to cut trees died Friday from injuries he sustained earlier in the week when a limb snapped and hit him in the head, the military said.
Gunnery Sgt. Mark R. Tullos, an instructor at the engineer school at Camp Lejeune, died at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
Tullos, of Fairview Park, Ohio, was cutting a tree Monday morning. The tree he was cutting fell against another tree and a limb from the second tree snapped off and fell onto Tullos.
The injured instructor was first treated at Lejeune’s Naval Hospital and then airlifted to Wilmington.
