Hi,
I am a reporter with the USA Today currently working on a freelance piece on women wounded in combat (or everyday life in Iraq, which in a lot of cases might as well be combat). I would like to do a story on the unique challenges that face women who are recovering from severe wounds -- what's different? What's the same? What kind of support exists? Obviously in some cases doctors with female-related specialties are required.
I'm really looking for a human face to put on all of this -- I know there are women out there who have been in this situation, and I think it's been undercovered.
If you or anyone else you know might be willing to be participate in this project, please let me know. My e-mail address is below; if you would like to speak with me on the phone, just drop me an e-mail and I will forward my cell phone number on to you.
Thanks again for all of your time, and, as always, for your service.
Regards,
Kasie Hunt
