I am new to the site but i thought you might find this email exchange interesting. The history of the email is that an Air Force Cadet went to this history professor for advice and came back with an...

Now the question might be;
Is he alone in all this?
Or is he the tip of ice berg,
History is being taught by many who opposed the military in 60, 70's.
They expond their views of the world to many.
Who have no idea of what sacrifice is all about.
In their little domain, there's no one to oppose their views.
Many are anti-military but they sleep soundly because some like that cadet are standing a post some where on this planet.
I for one think that university has done enough to make this fool think twice before E-Mailing his vemon.

Thanks for your post "Mad as Hades" --- I do hope you will also send an email to the university voicing you opinion that perhaps they should rethink retaing this professor at the university.

I have also forwarded email info to sites promoting this university as a school of learning indicating that perhaps veterans should know about this and chose another university in which to finish their degrees. VA loans should not be used for education at this school.

I continue to forward it to other servicemen hoping they to will respond to the president of the university so that he sees retention of this professor is a bad financial move. Money always seems to talk.

rearranging deck chairs on the Titantic, if you think writing to universities and such will help--these are the very people who have introduced and implemented socialism as a way of life in America over the last 50 years or so.

Even professors who specialize in Military History ***ch that they cannot get a toehold in their own baliwicks now.

See posting, this forum....

this is all I can do at this point....I'm not the roll over quit type.

In my little mind then they win. When I say Oh well nothing I can do, and just let it go by and complain to myself, then I can't live with myself and this point its really who I have to live with, my conscious that I know I didn't just say oh well.

thanks for your reply and article. Very interesting, and I have passed this on as well.

...or does something about not teaching the truth seem insane at some level or another?

If true, the college professor's response is certainly indicative of instablity.

How can anyone who thinks at all say such things, let alone believe them?

This disturbs me. That citizens aren't taught clear thinking, but are allowed to be indoctrinated at the college level with the social-political beliefs of their instructors.

Anyone who is innocent or has a weak mind ( read poor or non thinking ) would be in serious trouble of losing thier freedom of thought. That is what indocrination does. It replaces your thinking and beliefs with another's.

We had a problem with the college professors during the Vietnam War and we are having a problem with the college professors today.

Every time there’s war, these liberal bastards will come out of hiding and start fu*king with the kids.

But than, there’s indoctrination and then there’s indoctrination.

I was indoctrinated into the Marine Corps in 1964 – in 13 weeks, which seemed much longer at the time, my DI’s indoctrinated me into Marine Corps life. I was trained to loose all of my non-essential civilian baggage and think, act and be Marine. This indoctrination has stayed with me, and in fact been a vital part of my entire adult life.

The Marine Corps indoctrination was not a brainwashing as many who have not experienced it have called it. It raised my values, it gave me unbridled faith in my fellow Marines and most importantly, it gave me tremendous confidence and faith in myself.

Unfortunately College is not designed to do anything but teach fundamentals. There are no requirements placed on professors, other than a minor degree in the subject that they intend to teach. And worst of all, most professors teach because that can’t find a real job in their chosen field.

If it sounds like I’m down on Professors here, you’re damn straight I am. College is a big playpen and most professors are nothing but kindergarten teachers with advanced degrees.

Unfortunately today, College doesn’t begin to get serious until your preparing for your Masters.

Anyways, that my 2 cents on a darn cold day in Florida.

The Constitution guarantees freedom of speech. It does not, however guarantee that there will be no consequences when you exercise that freedom. He had a right to speak as he did...we have the right to run him out of town on a rail for saying it (figuratively).
