Apparently, Weblogs, or Blogs for short, are all the rage on the Internet these days.

Example:

http://gruntdoc.com/

As far as I can see, they are little different than having your own messageboard, like mine...
http://www.network54.com/Forum/135069

N54 (my messageboard) allows the owners to set controls for them so that others can not respond, or respond only under certain conditions, etc.--and they are free, although they attempt to coerce you into paying a monthly fee for no pop-up ads, and other features that can be added if you pay up--sorta like a regular bait and switch routine that merchants are famous for.

Anyway, they claim that the main purpose of these Blogs are to make any PC user a creative journalist by enabling him/her to publish on the webb a daily journal of whatever your rant happens to be..

A Google search indicates that Marines are climbing onto the bandwagon also. Like I said, to me it appears to be no different than a regular messageboard, available free to anyone who wants one, as are now, apparently, blog space for bloggers--or maybe I'm missing something here.
