Our prosecutors and special investigators have been doing poorly lately. Even the Patriot Act's provisions have not been having any slam dunks.
It all reminds me of one of my favorite movies, Devil's Advocate. When asked "Why the Law?", Al Pacino has a brilliant and classic rant:
"Because the law, my boy, puts us into everything.
