Waco, TX (AHN) - Despite his position has the nation's leader, President George W. Bush is just another American citizen intending to serve his jury duty date, just not on Monday.

The president has been summoned to the county courthouse near his Texas ranch as a potential juror.

White House press secretary Scott McClellan says White House officials have contacted the McLennan County court to reschedule the President's day due to other commitments on Monday.

McClellan adds that the White House will work with the court to reschedule Bush's jury duty.

State District Judge Ralph Strother told the Waco Tribune-Herald he doesn't expect to send the sheriff out to bring the President in.

Democratic John Kerry, who ran against Bush in 2004, served as the foreman of a Suffolk Superior Court jury last month.

Of course there are a few OpEd stories putting a shameless negative spin on this.
