Steve Brooks via some very fine people has an update on Doc Randell including his address and phone number. Doc Randell is the corpsman that saved our fellow Marine's lives over in Iraq. Than you Steve and all for this update.

Ed, Just wanted to pass along the latest in Doc. It sounds like he's doing pretty well. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, Steve

Let's send Randell a ton of good wishes...
November 23, 2005

Randell had a busy day today. As usual, he had his physical therapy at
8 a.m. and at 2 p.m. At 10:30, he had an appointment at the oral
maxillofacial surgery clinic where they finally took off the "braces".
He was given some gas as a form of anesthesia. Then, at 1 p.m., David
Blaine, the magician, did a special show for amputees in the physical
therapy room. After the show, he talked to Randell and invited him to
watch his show at 4 p.m. at the auditorium. So, we watched him again
and the magic tricks he did were really awesome. We were up so close
and yet couldn't figure out how he did those card tricks. He also
swallowed a piece of string and pulled it out of his stomach.

That made the day for Randell and for us all. He feels a lot better
when he is out talking to people and fellow amputees. He doesn't want
to stay in his room that much if he can help it. It's nice to just sit
in front of the hospital and get some fresh air and sun.
Each day brings joy and hope. We are so thankful for the promise of a new day.

Some of you have asked for the address here. It is:

HM3 (FMF) NATHANIEL R. LEONCIO
BAMC - PATTeam
BROOKE ARMY MEDICAL CENTER
3851 ROGER BROOKE DRIVE, BLDG 3600
FORT SAM HOUSTON, TX 78234-6200

Phone Number: (210) 916-1949 He is in Room 455.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! We are truly thankful to all of you.
Without your love, support, and prayers, Randell wouldn't be where he
is now. I have personally taken "depression" and "worry" out of my
dictionary. I know that God will see us through.

God Bless,

Fred and Susan

P.S.

While we were in the auditorium waiting for the David Blaine's show to
start, the orthopedic surgeon just walked in with a pair of vice grips
and pulled the pin out of Randell's toe. Just like that! It was about 4
inches long and Randell didn't feel any pain. We couldn't believe what
he did.
