Would love to hear from anyone who I might have served with in those "old days". They don't seem so long ago sometimes and they were the best days of my life. I really miss the people I knew then and often wonder what happened to them. I served as the Disbursing Officer at Camps Schwab and Sukerin on Okinawa in 1963 and 1964. Also went afloat on the Valley Forge with 1/3 in the summer 1964. Don't remember the exact dates. Loved it. Then rotated back to MCRD, San Diego. Having grown up on the North East Coast of the US this was like paradise ! Great marines at all the above locations. Too bad there aren't people like them everywhere. I hope some of them see this posting and e mail me. That would be fabulous. I'd really like to talk with any of them.
