Ted Rall: Iraq War Vets are Sadistic Torturers

Anti-American left wing lunatic Ted Rall was not content with depicting the US military as rapists, pedophiles and idiots. In his latest piece of artwork, Rall portrays Iraq War Veterans as torturers and domestic abusers. The cartoon, Sex Lives of Iraq War Vets, published on November 26, 2005, shows the veterans torturing their girlfriends and the girlfriend's parents Abu-Ghraib style. The final frame shows a vet dropping bombs on his girlfriend's home in response to a break-up.

This latest attempt to undermine our military comes on the heels of Rall's cartoon depicting US soliders in Iraq as rapists and pedophiles.Ted Rall's drawings and his hate Bush rants are distributed by Universal Press Syndicates. Rall's work is distributed to over 140 media outlets including the New York Times, the LA Times and the San Jose Mercury News. Yahoo.com also publishes Rall's editorials as part of its opinion section. There is no mention of Al-Jazeerah being a subscriber to Rall's far left editorials.

The time for tolerating such overt hatred of America and our military has reached midnight. There comes a time when dissent and freedom of speech cross the boundaries of decency and respect. Rall crossed that line a long time ago but the media still pays to distribute his "I hate the military" editorials.

My opinion- He does draw cartoons, for sure, but I don't think he is the slightest bit homorous. He has found the niche that seperates his work from others, in his field of endeavor, and he is making bucks off of it. As an artist that is the pinnacle of accomplishment. I do believe, however, that an extended stay in Iraq, maybe escorting convoys, would change this fellows perspective of the nature of the American Military in Iraq and Afghanistan. Maybe you folks could "staighten him out" just a wee bit. Try to make him funny, okay?

Here's his biography
Ted Rall (born 1963 in Cambridge, Massachusetts) is a left-wing columnist and editorial cartoonist. Unlike many editorial cartoonists, his political cartoons usually appear in a traditional comic-strip format.

He attended Columbia University, where he contributed cartoons to the campus newspapers, and graduated in 1991 with a bachelor of arts in history. Rall says meeting Keith Haring in 1986 inspired him to pursue cartooning.

In 1999, Rall created a fervor among cartoonists when he wrote a controversial article damning Maus creator Art Spiegelman in the Village Voice for allegedly controlling who gets lucrative assignments from magazines like The New Yorker. He was heckled publicly after the article, most blatantly by New York Press cartoonist Danny Hellman. Hellman parodied Rall's Voice style and person, in a phony email that appeared to have come from Rall, declaring that he was going to start a new column entitled "Ted Rall's Balls." The email was sent to a small number of Hellman's friends and Rall -- but was also made to appear that the email went to many prominent figures in New York cartoon publishing. Rall responded with a $1.5 million lawsuit, and has been suing Hellman ever since.

Rall has been criticized by many with regard to several of his cartoons. One in particular, the "Terror Widows" cartoon, which ridiculed the apparent greed of widows of men killed in the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack, was considered offensive by many. Rall, commenting on an appearance on Bill O'Reilly's television program, replied to the criticism, "I've done a few lousy cartoons in my time that I'd love to take back, but this isn't one of them."

Rall outraged many with his posthumous criticism of Pat Tillman, whom his comic described as an "idiot" and "sap" for participating in the US invasion of Afghanistan. He also created controversey with his July 5, 2004 cartoon (link) depicting Condoleezza Rice going to a "racial re-education camp" and referring to her as a "house nigga." Rall, a white man, was accused of racism by many critics.

Rall also raised hackles with his May 4, 2004 Op/Ed "AN ARMY OF SCUM: Or, We're Looking For a Few Good Homosexual Rapists", in which he wrote, "American troops occupying Iraq have become virtually indistinguishable from the SS".

An Op/ED piece (site) by Ted Rall published shortly after the death of former President Ronald Reagan claims Reagan is "turning crispy brown right about now" implying that the former president is burning in hell.

A cartoon (link)depicting mentally disabled children drew complaints from advocates for the disabled. And led to his cartoons being dropped of The Washington Post website. Rall responded in his blog saying: "I regret hurting people who I have nothing against. I do want to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable, and I think I failed in that with this cartoon. Not to mention that the cartoon failed--too many people got bogged down in the analogy and the main point got lost."

Ted Rall is a frequent guest on "Hannity and Colmes".

Allow me to introduce myself..I AM AN IRAQ VET. Now that that is clear I will continue. You, SIR, an an outstanding jack a$$. I would perfer to tell you to your face but cowardness can only hide you for so long. Since you never once walked in the boots of any WAR VETS you should plainly understand this. War is not a sport. Nor is it an event that is needlessly taken by any nation. So I purpose this...I would like to meet you and explain throughly just what it is like to have inhumans like yourself spread lies about our beloved military members and having the backbone to stab them in the back. You, my cowardly idiot, have scrutinized everything that we as VETS have provided for you.
