Has there ever been a movie on this? It's great true to life material, with just enough vaguery for a producer to take artistic license.

A young nation facing its first international test, pirates, politics, an evil Pasha, veteran warriors, young lieutenants, epic battles with a mixed force, and end game politics.

I can see Christopher Walken portraying General Eaton. You got your Greek fighters, Christians and Muslim, and mercs.

Armand Assante would be a great Pasha Yusuf.

Who could play Lt. O'Bannon?
