"There were 15 of us signing up that day, red-blooded American guys who believed the Marines were the greatest bunch of guys in the world," he said.
That could be Poudly said in any time period during the last 230 years!


A few weeks ago, the Kormanns visited the World War II memorial in Washington D.C.

Kormann had on his Marine raidar cap.

A teacher and a group of 20 students approached him.

The teacher said to her students. "This man is a hero. You each should shake his hand."
I'd be happy as hell to do the same thing. Except unlike the kids, I could buy him a steak and beer! :marine:
