Went to Cookies yesterday to celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday.
Wow...a great ceremony in south Philly was had today...
Certainly was great to be amongst a massive crowd of a shiatload of some great Jarheads...
The mayor of Philadelphia proclaimed today in honor of us...and a message was also relayed from a retired colonel of Marines, and Medal of Honor recipient, Harvey Barnum, who could not be here for this year's festivities...telling us all to raise a little hell in his absence, of which I am sure, we can say to Barney, "Mission Accomplished, sir."
For the others that we met at Daddy Wags' hootch (aka "Cookies Tavern") today in south Philly, awesome. See ya all next year, or before...
