27+ KIA in one day. Most from friendly fire, atributted to 'the fog of war'.

And it rekindled a previous question about Air Force planes flying close air support for Marine units.
With any decent training, the A10 pilots would be able to tell the difference in a Marine AAV Amtrac, and some kind of Iraqi armour.
