I was 6017 F/A-18 Flightline/Powerplants mech. I've been told they changed the MOS to 6217. I got out in '98 after 9yrs.
I want to go back! I've talk to one of my local recruiters, a GySgt who stated the HQMC is not accepting prior service packages until Q1 '06.
Between then and now I've got to lose 15lbs and be able to run a 1st class PFT. I could barely run a 1st class when I was doing it twice a year. Now with dead hang pull ups, and crunches I've got a lot of work to do.
Any advice from anyone that has gone back active would be appreciated.
