More than likely a lot of sangria, and, if he had the Pinto, he never would have made it out of Spain.
I was on a bus to Parris Island on Columbus Day 1994...
Lets see...
I think I remember that Nina is "little girl"
in the back of a Pinto
with a big bottle of Santa Sangria !!
He HAD to find America, so all that could become a young mans dream !!

The Nina turned out to be on heck of a gal. There were many more nautical miles left on that lady, to and fro to the Americas.
What's even more amazing is that there is a log sheet showing the Officers and Sailors and their areas of origin, of the Nina, the Pinto and the Santa Sangria (I meant Nina, Pinta and the Santa Maria :) );those that returned and those that were left in Hispaniola, and perished, most of them murdered by natives.
