View Full Version : Which way do we point the cannons?

I am known to throw a couple of barbs around the board on many different subjects. One that recently came to light was that of the Country of Cuba, a Country steadfastly defended by John Kerry and Ted Kennedy in the Senate of the United States Congress, but, today, is not the day for me to be going after Cuba, or the Cuban supporters.
Today, I am going against the growing influence on one of our close neighbors, more so close than is Cuba.
No! It has nothing to do with Mexico! Although, many Mexicans cross our borders daily as illegal immigrants, the Mexicans are no threat to us. The only threat I foresee there is that US Telemarketers may have to learn a second language, otherwise the Mexicans are hard working people that make many of us feel threatened in our job security, because they are willing to do hard work without complaint, or much in the way of compensation.
No! It is not Mexico, but it is our English-speaking neighbor to the North that has me worried. Yes! Canada! Here lies a threat to our security.
How many people in the USA know that Ontario was very close to permitting Shari’ a Law in the Providence of Ontario Canada?
Apparently the minorities of the Islamists are becoming so large that they now want their law recognized in Canada. This, Our SISTER country to the North was considering even after the Iranians Security Forces beat a Canadian News reporter in Iran:
An Iranian-Canadian journalist Zahra Kazemi was brutally murdered. Her “crime” was preparing a report of the political prisoners’ families who were protesting outside of a prison in Tehran. According to Dr. Azam, who was present at the emergency hospital, Zahra Kazemi was savagely beaten, had bruises all over her body, had her fingernails pulled out, fingers broken, was raped and her skull was fractured. She was deeply unconscious.
Yet our sister to the North did nothing in the way of protest, and even conspired to keep the news from the public for fear of antagonizing its Islamic Population. The only stories I could find on it were in French from Quebec newspapers.
But, with all this talk of the Mexicans and the Cubans, it appears that we may have our cannons pointed in the wrong direction. Instead of to the South, they should be pointed to the North, because that is where our greatest enemy may lie. After all, what has the Cubans done to us since 1959? Nothing really! There was a little thing like the Cuban Missile Crisis in the early 1960s, but nothing since. Hell! They live 50 years behind the times. And, the Mexicans have done very little to the USA since 1914, in the way of aggressive behavior. The Mexican Army is no good against men that can fight back! But, the Islamists are at our doorstep, and everyone seems to be looking in the wrong direction. It is not Racial Profiling to know your enemy, and to keep an eye on his movements, it is stupidity to not do so!
What do you say?

Yellowwing didn't have anything to do with this mess, did he? LOL.
Ya don't see him for a couple of days and now this news/thread.
Just kidding, Yellowwing!
You are right, Joseph. It sure seems like a long term world domination plan based on a pseudo-religious principles and marketed under the guise of human rights and religious freedom.

No! Wing had nothing to do with this! He can't help it if he works in a place where you don't know if the guy next to you is a girl next to you, and to them it really doesn't matter anyway! Instead, of SISTER country I should have called it our Little Sister Country!

I didn't think much about it since our "nieghbors" did such a good cover-up. Maybe they aren't telling us everything...but what else aren't they telling us.

I must admit, 10 years ago I never gave Islam much of a thought, but it is growing ever bigger and more powerful everyday, it is also becoming ever more aggressive in how it spreads, while most of the world yet again (just like the world did during WW2 with Germany and Japan), just sit by and do little to help stop the spread of radical Islam, all the while, the west is the primary target of hate by Islam. Canada did little to really help during WW2, or most any other war for that matter, Canada seems to be comfortable knowing we (America) will protect it if the chips ever hit the table, their military or rather, lack of, being proof of that. Mexico fields a Army that is HUGE and well equipped, and is more ready to fight than Canada's current status, this is not my opinion, the facts bear this out, that my friends is a very scary thought if you are Canadian.
Canadians have been spoon fed the anti American propaganda, added with a constant diet of the political correct message for so long there is no doubt it has grown beyond just more than taking root with a great many of the younger Canadians, and is now becoming more vicious in its anti American messages. How close Sharia came to being law (while being in TOTAL conflict with being PC lol) come to being says clearly what is on their minds..
There is no doubt, that at some point in the future there will yet be another world war, and it is also my belief that Islam will be one of the major players and reasons for this world war, with the constant anti American crowd growing ever larger in Canada, and around the world, it having a hatred of America that is so great, look to the extremes it has already gone.. there is no doubt this "sister" country is getting closer to being a only child everyday.. where it will stand in the future is anyone’s guess, but being a opponent of America and a threat can be a foreseen based on its current actions, of that there is no doubt..

Nagalfar,
Apparently I am back for whatever short time it may be! I happen to agree with what you said.
Too many people will bring up the Canadian Army in their attack in France where all of their troops were virtually wiped out at Diepe, and maybe they will bring up the Canadian Army in Holland, or even the Canadian Army in the Battle for Normandy, but what most people do not know is that the Canadian Army that did that were volunteers, mostly foriegn and American; that even though the Canadians mounted an Army of One Million for the Second World War, approximately Eight Hundred Thousand sat on their butts in Canada all through the war. The Canadians never sent their Conscripts to war. Even when the Candains did go to war close to home, it was a disaster. The US Army and the Canadians landed on the Island of Kiska, when following a massive naval bombardment, 35,000 U.S. and Canadian troops stormed ashore at Kiska, in the Aleutian Islands. Twenty-one troops were killed in the firefight. It would have been worse if there had been any Japanese soldiers on the island.
Maybe, we should never hope to find any help in Canada, but I do know some very brave Canadians that served in the US Marines, but as the DIs used to say, "There is always that 10%..!"

I remember that bill. I voted for it right before I voted against it.
No really, the Canucks have sent in combat troops to Afghanistan. Its not really covered in our Canadian press. Many Canadians think our fighting force should be just in the Peacekeeping and Disaster Relief.
Our press had a conniption when one of our General's reminded everyone, "Hey, we train to kill."

I realize that, the Canadians sent a full One-Third of their fighting forces (5,000 men) to Afghanistan, because they were shamed into doing so by NATO. I might also remind people that it was Canadian Forces (UN) in the country of Ruwanda that backed off and let the killing go on in that country, but it is Canadians that scream the loudest that the USA should have been there to stop the killing! What is that all about!?!?!?
True, had American Forces been there, the commander probably would have killed the slaughtering Army, but the USA woiuld have been the blood thristy killers of innocent Ruwandans in the press the next day. We just can't win!

I couldn't agree more with Carey and Nagalfar on this one. Canada has been keeping thier "Peace Keeping Forces" at home and complaining what the US does ever since I can remember. They rely on us way to much for what ever goes wrong and then b@#$% about everything whether they are present or not. I wouldn't doubt if Canada became the next Radical Islamic nation against us.

I agree with just about everything that has been said here. The only hero that canada has is Sgt. Preston and his dog King. The only good that has came out of canda has been our Candiends that were our brothers in Vietnam.

As I often hit the Canadians hard, but I do happen to know that there are Canadians worth our friendship. The below is a list of the Canadians that gave their all for the 7th Marines while in Vietnam. I was proud to serve with them. The locations on 'The WALL' are listed after their names. Next time you guys go to see The WALL, please say thank you for me.
Accurate statistics were difficult to verify as many Canadians who served with the US Military Forces listed US addresses as their home of record, so on the casualty reports that followed they were assumed to be American. This list was compiled from written and verbal information obtained through official and non official sources.
The men listed below as Canadians, include, those born in Canada, Naturalized Canadian Citizens, and those who had at least one Canadian parent and qualified for Canadian or Dual Citizenship.
Among the Marines listed below is the son [L/Cpl. Richard Dextraze, who was awarded the Silver Star Medal and two Purple Heart awards] of a Canadian General Jacques A. Dextraze who became the Canadian Armed Forces Chief of Staff. Also, among the casualties, three Canadian who's bodies were not recovered, LCpl. Jonathan Kmetyk *, 1st Lt William Marshall Price *, and Joseph Howard Reeves *.
Three Marines, of the many who served with the 7th Marine Regiment did not return, LCpl Patrick Dearborn*** of "Mike" Company, 3rd Battalion, and Pfc Edward Gerald Sharpe *** of "Delta" Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, and LCpl Steven Joseph Scott of "Hotel" Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines.

Our Viet Nam Veterans post up here is getting more active. They attended our Aboriginal Veterans Day Ceremonies and on the 11th, they displayed a Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall replica during the city's big Remembrance Ceremony.
By the way, I think Canada would gladly annex San Francisco for you. Our opening bid is $10 billion. ;)

No, no, no...we'll pay you $10 billion for San Francisco. As long as you give us the secret recipe for that Rice-a-Roni dish.
Thanks to Canada's Draconian taxes rate of 15% sales tax and 31% tax rate for incomes over $29k, they have a fiscal year 2005 $12 billion budget surplus.
The real downside is the 'free' medical care system. We pay doctors about $80k while in Minnesota they can make $160k. There is a 5 month waiting list for 'free' dental surgery. Try telling that to your family members when they have a busted tooth.

Yes! I can believe that about the surplus! They have an Army of 15,000 men. What do they need an Army for when everyone else fights their battles for them. Hell, Denmark owns Greenland, and the USA guards the North, West, South and Eastren fronts of Canada. I'd say that is the World Government's moral equivilant of stealing cable TV, and then calling and complaining about the services and the picture they receive.

Sure for the Port of San Francisco $10 billion would be a national bargain. And Senators Boxer and Fienstien would have a much smaller political base to oppose the current power.
What is the current US Budget Deficit? About 7 Trillion Dollars?
Geez, for a people that are putting thenselves in the hole, you'd think you would be more that happy tho sell off Dead Weight.

Okay, okay we'll kick in an extra $5 billion for Alaska. Alaska would make Canada a nice round country.
You won't have to worry about the Political Ramifications of the AWR Drilling limitations. The ANWR drilling initiative seems to have lost the political steam in the second term administration. Sorry GWB.
(psst-Don't tell anyone but Canada has a HUGE amount of untapped oil reserves in Alberta and plenty of surplus electricity all across Canada.) Just nod your head and follow the political talking points that the Middle East is the focal point.
Yes, the Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter clips on Fox News is all the truth that needs to be digested.
Mean while in the real non political-biased consumer world, Ford is spending millions in advertising that they are developing Hybrid Electric and corn Ethanol Powered Vehicles.
Do you really think that a firm like Ford is prone to p*ssing away advertising dollars?
