No fair but nobody else probably knew it anyway...
Leatherneck.com was launched on 10 November 2001. Being a Marine site, it was only fitting. No other Marine site or so-called Marine site has that distinction. Since then the site has had a few make overs and many additions. But nothing compared to the additions that are about to come... Just wait and see :D

Tude,
Born on November 10th and you didn't name her Marine Cora?
If I had a son born on November 10th, I would name him Chesty.
But I wouldn't name a daughter that, because she'd have too much to live up to. Or out to.
I almost had a son born of the 4th of July. I would have too, if my wife had let me put a cork in it for two more days.
I have two born in November, one on the 18h and the other on the 19th (different years of course). I tried cod live oil and cubes of butter, but it only made her sick.
I think WD-40 would have worked, but she threatened me with a shotgun. (No appreciation of history.)

HEY - I tried!! My daughter was born on 14 Nov. And Top, my birthday is the 19th - I also share it with one of my best friends in life - born 2 years later than I. I don't hold that against him, even tho he isn't a Marine either.

Happy first birthday for your site, Shaffer! It is a great site. It is home for many of us. Yeah, many of us p.ss and moan, but that just means we feel comfortable here. What's the Corps without a little p.ssin and moanin? What a great day this coming Sunday is. Football, 1 year birthday of this site and 227th birthday of the Corps. Now if that ain't a reason to grab a beer I don't know what is! 'Course, I gotta work that day, so I'll be late to the ball. Keep some beer on ice and save a piece of cake for the fat man! I'll make it.
C y'all later and Semper Fi!
One whole year gone by already ? Damn , time sure be flying
and I am a year older ,WHOA.
Happy Birthday's (The Marines and Your Site)

To the "FEW" of the "FEW" Happy birthday on this site been a year older.
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian':
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say 'These wounds I had on Crispin's day.'
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he did this day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words,
Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentleman in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
