Assaultman, 0351 ?'s

are there any Marines on here who are currently or were recently an 0351. i go to SOI in a couple weeks and i remember hearing about there being two parts to that MOS. the grunts who carry the anti tank weapons such as the shoulderfired rockets, and the second part , the grunts who carried satchel sharges, c-4 blocks, shotguns for breaching doors and other smaller scale breaching tools. any additional info on this MOS is greatly appreciated!

I was an 0351 w/ A co 1/3...
at least back in my day.. you had to know both the SMAW and the dragon.. and have considerable knowledge of Demolitions... in SOI half of my training was on the SMAW and Dragon.. the other was on demo.. when you got to the fleet you were assigned either to Wpns Co. (Dragon) or to a Line company (SMAW) If you can... stick w/ the SMAW.. makes 0311s p!ss themselves when fired.. hehehe.. as far as shotguns go.. everyone got that training in MCT.

I was an 0351 in the early and mid 90's and I agree stick with the smaw. They are alot of fun and you do scare people with them. Also plan on alot of demo training. The dragon far as I know is fazed out.
