i go to geiger for SOI. then hopefully i stay east coast but if i do go west coast i'll look you up. it is 2236 and i head off to N.C. tomorrow morning, i report on tues. so i won't be able to communicate with you all for a while, so good luck to all you devil pups, and congrats to you new marines like myself and stay sharp and motivated. Wait 'til you get to Camp Geiger for infintry training, you'll gonna love it, especially with the wet rainy whether. Unlike boot camp, training doesn't yield to the weather. Try going the 38k hike in a hurricane. When I went through MCT, I jacked up both of my feet for the 10k. For the 15k, my feet were in extreme pain, we just got hit by hurricane Tami, I was soaked, my boots were soaked, my Sally pack was soaked, etc. My advice is, throw everything away! I made the mistake of keeping everything (and packed all they told me to pack, plus some), that pack drenched weight was more than my sister, it was at least 200 lbs. I was dead by the time I made it back to Geiger. And just to let you know, I am a female, and it is possible, the guys had it easy.
