How do I find info on brother-in-law, who died a few years ago and never talked about it. all I know is this.

Lt. Virgil Terry
Detroit, Michigan
Took leave of absence from J.L. Hudson Dept. store , at age of 33 and enlisted in Marine Corp. Officer training in 1943.
Dis-charged 1945 or 1946
Went to South Pacific, Bougainville.
I am old WW2 veteran ,last of our family and no one to ask/

I am from Simone Sweet Shop (candy, ice creanm etc.)
Grand River and West Grand Blvd in 1940 and later Simone moved to Grand River at Joy Road
