Well I just got back from MEPS. Participated in the infamous underwear olympics, got closer to an 80 year old man than I ever would have liked. But finally got a ship date, MCRD SD 20051017 0300 Infantry baby! Until then I just hope I can keep motvated enough to PT my ass off everyday ( my goal is 300).

To all the other wannabe's just go get it over with its not that bad. And trust me, when you take the oath it feels like a weights been lifted off your shoulders. Good luck!

Good news Poolee glad to hear it. You dont have much time left so PT your ass off and enjoy what little you have left. You are about to embark on the toughest most rewarding challenge of your life. If you liked the way it felt to swear in, it doesent even come close to the feeling you will get when your senior drill instructor hands you your eagle globe and anchor and says congratulations your a Marine. Get er done and make us proud!

Good luck and God bless to both of you. The training is hard and rough, but when you recieve your Eagle, Globe, & Anchor, you'll know that it was worth every single ounce of blood, sweat, and tears. Go get 'em killers!!:marine:
