This is PFC Welbaum, graduate of 3rd RTB, Lima Co, Plt 3077,Sept 2nd 05. It's good to be home, soaking up my 10 day leave after 3 testing months to earn the title United States Marine. There were times where I couldn't continue, but something deep inside kept pushing me on. Boot camp was a great experience, I learned so much confidence, bearing, espirit de corps, and pride in myself and the limits I learned I come overcome.

To all you Poolee's and wannabee's: You can do it, stay motivated and as always...PT, PT, PT! You don't want to get down there and spend 2 months in PCP because you didn't know you had to do pull-ups at bootcamp. Don't strive for the minimums, go all out, Marine style...you earn the title, its never given!

Semper Fi Devil Dogs and devil pups,
PFC Brandon Welbaum

Good work and congratulations.
Now here's a question. Do you know how many days, months, hours you have before your enlistment is up? LOL
Just having fun. Enjoy your leave.

Congratulations! Marine! I saw you down there and was one of the ones that stood when they said "Marines not on active duty".

My son Josh (also a Marine) and I were there with a group in the bleachers for my brothers grandson who was in 3076. Since my brother, a Korean vet died I'll be his grand-dad.

Congratulations to PFC Justin Smith and all you 3rd Bat. Marines. He'll go directly to SOI and Scout Sniper school.
