Yes, just wait until you earn that Blood Stripe. Remember, there is NO HAZING in our ranks, just enthusiastic gestures of congratulations.

We were on float (many moons ago) when a Lcoolie in our platoon finelly got his E4 sripe. Now this guy was a real sh!t bird, no body liked him, but made it on time in grade. I think he had been an E3 over 3 years.

Any way, ALL the NCO's were VERY ENTHEUASTIC about congratulating him on his promotion. To the point that he got a no duty chit from sick bay.
Since he couldn't perform any duties, they made sure he stayed in his rack. They CHAINED his a$$ to it.

Gunny was only able to look the other way a couple of days, till the Lt. came thru and saw him.

Congratulations! Good news is always good to hear. If you rub the bruises in a circular motion they will heal faster.
Strut your stuff.
Once again, congratulations.

Remember that this stuff doesn't really happen in the cicilian eyes, the frown on it like a few yers ago when it was in the paper, but hell that's whet we are made for, " you feel no pain when you gain in rank"

Congrats "Lance Corporal of Marines." In your heart you already knew what you were, now everyone else gets to see it. You're one step away from that blood stripe. Use this time to figure out what type of NCO you want to be. Mind your manners, stay moto, and Get Some. Start doing those MCI's because knowledge is truly power. Semper FI Marine. :marine:

Thank you all. I am currently working on Fundamentals of Marine Corps Leadership and Math for Marines. I have ones on the 240G and heavy machineguns coming as well.

Down load and print stuff like

http://www.marines.mil/emw.pdf

Leave it laying around for the Lt. to see.

Read up on some OFFICERS courses. Got a link somewhere to the BASIC SCHOOL at Quantico... all of the downloads and work sheets that OCS uses. Leave em laying on your desk.

Keeps your Plt Sgt and Lt. guessing what your up to, what your good at. They'll give you a chance to prove your 'metal', so be ready.
