3/11 Marines Chu Lai (Quang Ngai) 1965-1966

Hi! I am hoping to catch up with some of the Marines that served in the 3/11 with my cousin Greg Harris (RTO) in HQ Battery. As you might know, Greg was captured in 12 June 1966 and we are still "working" with the gov't to find out what happened to him.

If there is anyone out that there was possibly with Greg on FO team with the ARVN or even heard some of the rumors after he was captured, anything will help us! We are in the process of putting a "picture" together about the event surrounding that horrible day and get the gov't to change his status to POW, as well as getting the to excavate a site where THEY believe he might be buried.

It has the histories of the different units, all you have to do is eneter the unit description, and the date you want and PDF files will appear. All you have to do is copy the file and read through it. For the record, in your case, it will probably be 3rd Battalion 11th Marines, Vietnam, and in the date box enter June 01 1966 to June 30 1966.

When reading the PDF, please note the dates inside the reports are written day first and military time (like today would be 042057). I do not know if it will help, you may have looked already, but what the heck!
