Hi, maybe someone can help me. My fiance claims to be a Major in the Marine Corp. Someone has been trying to convince me that my fiance is a phoney. I do not know his SS # and I don't know how to find out for sure if he is lying to me and all of his friends about being a Marine. I checked a system that will list all active duty, reserve, and retired (USMC) and didn't find anyone named Jody Dowell. You might challenge him on his assertion that he's a Marine Corps Major by asking him to see his military identification card; what his MOS is/was; what units has he been attached to; how long was he in; etc. If he was discharged, ask him to see his DD 214 or discharge certificate. It appears that your fiance is not being truthful with you. If he's lying about something like this, what else may he have told you that might not be true.:qmark:

If that's the case, he should show up in our online locator. I also checked our Global Address Listing to see if he had an e-mail/internet address and didn't see anything. I entered "Jody Dowell" into the system. Maybe the spelling is different than what you gave me? If you can somehow get his SSN, that would definitely narrow down the search.

That is not what leroy8541 is saying. Ask him if he is taking you to the ball this weekend. If he says the Ball was last weekend, well that's a start. If he asks what Ball, then that is a start in another direction.
